AS AN ACTIVE SCHOOL WE AIM TO:

  1. Provide all pupils with appropriate PE provision and ensure the school PE plan is both comprehensive and up to date.
  2. Make a range of extra-curricular activities available to children catering for the diversity of our pupils, including those with special needs.
  3. Promote physical activity during break times as well as introducing new sports into the school PE timetable
  4. Seek assistance from outside agencies such as the Donegal Sports Partnerships, Finn Valley AC and other National Bodies
  5. Involve students in the process and liaise with parents and the local community regularly

Preparing for the Active School Flag:

The Active Flag Project preparation began by developing a committee of enthusiastic pupils, teachers and staff in order to raise awareness of our campaign for the Active Flag.

Members of our Active Flag Committee are:

Múinteoir Fiona Ní Fhearraigh (co-ordinator), Múinteoir Emma Ní Dhubhthaigh , Karen Uí Fhloinn, Seaghan Mac Cormaic , Lauren Ní Chearrbhaill,  Síle Ní Mháirtín,  Charlie Ó Ceallaigh, Seán Mac a Bháird, Ciara Ní Mhuigh & James Ó Muigh

Having put together the committee, we began reviewing our School PE Plan and  the development of resources for all strand areas
